“Paul was an amazing tour guide, and Saul was a great driver getting us all across the Yucatan for this adventure. They're a dream team! Getting to Coba early was perfect, the cenote was beautiful and tons of fun, and Chichen Itza was obviously unforgettable. I would recommend this tour (especially if Paul is guiding and Saul is driving) to anyone!”

Expect a long ride, possible bus changes and extra on-site charges.

“It’s a long 12-14h trip. You get to get up very early to be picked up and need to get off the bus to join another bus in the middle. Pros: you see everything in one day. Guide and driver friendly and working hard. No mandatory purchase. Very detailed guide at archaeologic site. Cons: you have to bring your snack and water. Since your early 6:30 breakfast, you won’t get fed til 3:30pm . And you walk quite a lot and sweat a lot. So not good for diabetic people or with other medical conditions. Alternative is to book an 8h Tulum trip instead of 4x1”

The tour includes transport, a guide, ruin tickets and buffet lunch, but separate access fees and on-site costs can add up. Pickup time and whether Playa del Carmen is included depend on your hotel.

“The tour was okay. Pick up was around 7am, the expected pickup time was given a day before only roughly between 6.35-6.45am for me. They picked us from then did check in at Mexican outlet plaza la fiesta. 960 pesos was addition fee to pay for the tickets and conservation fee. The lady charged me 1008 pesos for some reason, no explanation or whatsoever. We spent more time at coba, could’ve been shorter after the tricycle ride. Cenote was so nice and lunch buffet was nice too. You have to pay extra for drinks. Playa del carmen was only 45mins so not enough time to see much. The return journey…”

“Tour, Guide and driver was exceptional, however, we had to make over 4 stops. We started at 7:09 am at our hotel and it was 10:15 am when the bus picked up the final guess. I asked for a small group, but it ended up with a full bus load. So, we spent 6 of the 12 hours just on the bus pickup and drop off.”

“Mildred, from Ekinox tour, was an excellent guide. The tour company kept me informed through whatsapp with pick up time , location, and additional tax that needed to be taken care of before pick up. I was very worried about pick up because i read reviews from other tour operators that tourists were not picked up. The tour van was clean, fresh, spacious and very comfortable. Ekinox was very clear about the transfer time for those who is doing the shared tour (1.5hr). We had a blast spending the full day with her. She was super friendly and easy going, and knowledgeable guide. Her english was excellent! She did remind us it’s…”

“We were taken on a bus to shell ha instead of going directly to the tour we booked We were delayed almost 2.5 hours and had to get up early for nothing They basically wasted almost 3 hours of our vacation by cramming us on a bus not even going to where we had booked When we finally got on the tour we had booked we were exhausted. The driver almost had two accidents rushing from place to place and they let kids do the tour who were more interested in talking among themselves than the guests. We could have had more time at the tours we and booked but…”

“Tips: we would have liked more information ahead of time, for example, the total length of the tour day(13 hours!). We only learned this when we were boarding the bus. Would have been helpful to tell us to specifically bring a towel and a plastic bag for wet bathing suits after the cenote adventure. Tulum: it would have been helpful to have someone from our tour waiting where the Jungle Truck left us off to lead us back to our bus. We could not find our bus and no one could help us. Positives: We really liked Luis, the first person we met for our tour. Very helpful and friendly.…”
