Horses are matched to riders, including beginners. The roughly two-hour outing ends with a cenote swim, snacks, towels, and round-trip hotel transport from Cancun or Playa del Carmen.

“Fabian was a great guide. We planned this excursion as part of our honeymoom on the last day and it was a huge hit. You will ride through Playa's jungle on well trained horses and learn a lot of great information. We didnt swim, but if you want to a well trained golden lab will lead you into the cenote. They provided high quality pictures that you will treasure for a long time to come. You should do this and request Fabian. Dont forget save time to meet all the horses and donkeys on your way out.”

Spend a full day visiting Tulum’s seaside Maya ruins, jungle-shaded Cobá, a cenote swim and Playa del Carmen’s Fifth Avenue. Hotel pickup, a bilingual guide, buffet lunch and bottled water are included. Past departures have featured guides such as Zeferino, Arturo and Jaime. Expect a long ride, possible bus changes and extra on-site charges.

“It’s a long 12-14h trip. You get to get up very early to be picked up and need to get off the bus to join another bus in the middle. Pros: you see everything in one day. Guide and driver friendly and working hard. No mandatory purchase. Very detailed guide at archaeologic site. Cons: you have to bring your snack and water. Since your early 6:30 breakfast, you won’t get fed til 3:30pm . And you walk quite a lot and sweat a lot. So not good for diabetic people or with other medical conditions. Alternative is to book an 8h Tulum trip instead of 4x1”

The tour includes transport, a guide, ruin tickets and buffet lunch, but separate access fees and on-site costs can add up. Pickup time and whether Playa del Carmen is included depend on your hotel.

“The tour was okay. Pick up was around 7am, the expected pickup time was given a day before only roughly between 6.35-6.45am for me. They picked us from then did check in at Mexican outlet plaza la fiesta. 960 pesos was addition fee to pay for the tickets and conservation fee. The lady charged me 1008 pesos for some reason, no explanation or whatsoever. We spent more time at coba, could’ve been shorter after the tricycle ride. Cenote was so nice and lunch buffet was nice too. You have to pay extra for drinks. Playa del carmen was only 45mins so not enough time to see much. The return journey…”
